HomeFit calculator in ChatGPT

This notice covers the HomeFit buy-versus-rent calculator in ChatGPT, provided under the Zimare Labs brand. Zimare Labs is the trading name of Akshay Zimare, HomeFit’s operator. The operator is responsible for the personal information HomeFit handles for this calculator. Separate website sign-up, property-search, report and billing features are outside this calculator notice. Using the calculator does not create a HomeFit account or start a subscription.

Information we use

HomeFit receives the housing, mortgage, cost, growth, investment-return and optional tax-saving assumptions submitted to the calculator. These numbers can be personal information even without a name. We use them to calculate the comparison and return normalized inputs, disclosed defaults, results, annual projections, limitations and sensitivity examples to ChatGPT. The inputs and results are available to the model and may appear in the conversation. Use hypothetical figures if you do not want to submit personal figures.

The calculator does not ask for financial-account credentials, government identification, payment-card details or your full conversation. Do not put those details into the calculator or send them to support.

Calculator processing and hosting

Submitting a comparison sends the entered assumptions through ChatGPT to HomeFit. The calculator application keeps unsubmitted edits in widget memory and processes comparisons in memory. It does not save scenarios to the website database or intentionally log calculation request or result bodies. These statements concern the calculator application; they do not mean that hosting providers or ChatGPT keep no records.

OpenAI hosts HomeFit through ChatGPT Sites using Cloudflare infrastructure. Hosting processes submitted information and technical information needed to operate and protect the service, which may include IP addresses, browser and device information, request or usage logs, and security cookies. The hosting service may set Cloudflare’s __cf_bm security cookie. Authorized provider personnel and subprocessors may process information as described in the applicable hosting arrangements.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT Sites Data Processing Addendum describes its handling of personal information collected by the published Site on HomeFit’s behalf. It covers hosting, maintenance and support, and describes processing during the hosting agreement and the time needed to complete end-of-agreement obligations. It provides for return or deletion on instruction after the agreement ends, subject to legally required retention. This is not a fixed expiry for each request or log. We have not established a deployment-specific log expiry or a guarantee that the managed host never captures request or response bodies.

This service does not make a country-specific storage guarantee. OpenAI’s Sites DPA describes safeguards for applicable EEA, Swiss and UK transfers. ChatGPT separately handles conversations and tool inputs and outputs under its own policies and the user’s account or workspace settings; the Sites DPA does not govern those conversations.

Support and privacy requests

Contact support@zimarelabs.com for support or privacy requests. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards this address to a Gmail inbox. Only HomeFit’s operator is authorized to handle those messages. Email providers also process the messages and related routing or delivery information. A message can include your email address, text, attachments, sender and recipient details, and message identifiers.

Use a small synthetic example when reporting a calculation problem. Remove credentials, payment-card details, identity documents and unrelated conversation content from messages and screenshots.

Support messages and attachments remain in Gmail until manually deleted. HomeFit does not currently apply a fixed automatic deletion schedule to them. Provider-held records are subject to the providers’ applicable policies and controls.

You may send an access, correction or deletion request to the support address. Rights and the available handling depend on applicable law, the records concerned and provider controls. Requests concerning your ChatGPT account or conversation records can also be made through OpenAI’s privacy controls. Reset changes the calculator’s example inputs; it does not delete earlier conversations or provider records. You can stop further calculator submissions by ceasing use.

Age eligibility

The HomeFit calculator in ChatGPT is for users who are at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required in their country. Users under 18 need permission from a parent or legal guardian and should ask them to review the calculator terms. ChatGPT’s eligibility requirements also apply. HomeFit does not target children under 13. This statement does not claim that HomeFit independently verifies every user’s age or parental permission.

Updates

If HomeFit’s calculator practices change, we will update this notice and its effective date. The separate website provisions below remain a draft for those other features and do not extend their billing terms to the ChatGPT calculator.

Information we collect

• Calculator and search details, including location, housing costs, price range, bedroom preferences, and financial assumptions.
• Contact information, including your email address.
• Subscription information, including your selected plan, billing status, and Stripe customer or subscription identifiers.
• Basic technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as browser, device, IP address, and service logs.

Stripe collects and processes payment-card information. HomeFit does not receive or store your full card number.

How we use information

We use information to provide HomeFit, save searches, deliver requested reports and service messages, process and manage subscriptions through Stripe, respond to support requests, prevent misuse, improve reliability, and meet legal obligations.

When we share information

We share only the information reasonably needed by service providers that help operate HomeFit, including hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and property-data providers. We may also disclose information when required by law or as part of a business transfer.

HomeFit does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Retention and your choices

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain required records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in an email. Necessary service and billing messages may still be sent.

Security, children, and updates

We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Never email us a full payment-card number. HomeFit is not intended for anyone under 18.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The latest version will appear on this page.
